Position:Senior Director, Test Business Development

Present the Test Services roadmap to customers in a winning ‘can do’ manner by demonstrating a deep understanding of diverse test requirements of customers and matching them with internal competencies

Develop relationships with key test personnel at customers sites so as to drive the corporate objectives of

a) Develop deep understanding and knowledge of customer key decision makers and test strategies (test platforms,
handlers and probers) and become an influencer on future decisions as well as guide the company on trends by
the major players.

b) Extending life of existing test assets by
· Working closely with customer test development groups to demonstrate the capabilities of the current generation
· Working with vendors and operations teams to implement productivity enhancements such as faster handling, new
· Negotiating incentives such as pricing and capacity expansion to make the existing assets “a better choice” than the
new investment
·Highlighting the hidden costs (new LBs, change kits etc) associated with switching to new platforms

c) Ensuring that new capital investments provide maximum financial benefit to the company by diligent analysis of the
investments ability to
· Generate additional assembly revenue
· To be technically capable to generate revenue for 5+ year in the targeted market segment
· To be widely usable across a diverse set of customers and applications
·Leverage business wins on existing assets

d) Executing daily by managing efforts across sales, pricing management, R&D, & test capacity planning to:
· Ensure customer proposals are made in a timely fashion and address the key business terms such as ASP, NRE, test
configuration and test handling in a clear and concise manner
· Ensure that schedules for key programs are in alignment with customer objectives
· Enhance the communication between sales and internal teams so as to address concerns and win new business
· Mitigate the risk of projects by identifying investment in phases so as to limit downsides

e)Support sales to keep customer commitments on loading assets based on forecast

  • 10+ years of Test experience (at IDM, Fabless)
  • Test Business Development in OSAT is a plus
  • Specific knowledge of memory, analog and mixed signal, RF and power management testing
  • Experience managing test development (or in actual test program development) is desired with specific
  • equipment knowledge of the various Teradyne & Advantest testers (both memory and mixed signal)
  • BS Degree in Engineering is required. MS and/or MBA preferred.
  • Strong Communicational (written, verbal), organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Power point, Excel, Project, Word etc.) is essential
  • Domestic and International travel required. Ability to travel up to 40% is required.
  • Motivated, self-starter with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • without direct supervision
  • Knowledge of languages (English – fluent or advanced. German, French and/or Italian a plus)
